Large-format fold-out 1977 Exxon road map of the western United States, printed more than 42 years ago.
This map opens to 23½" x 36½" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.
The southern section is on one side; the northern is on the other.
The coverage area includes Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
There are inset plans of Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
The map was distributed by Exxon and is copyrighted

The front cover artwork features Exxon's famous tiger in front of two gas pumps, with the slogan "Let's make every mile count."
