In the top of the eighth, Drew Pomeranz was on the hill. Nicholas Castellanos led off with a single to Wil Myers. Tyler Stephenson singled to Jurickson Profar. Joey Votto then walked to the plate. With the count 0-1, POMERANZ HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 93.2 mph four-seam fastball, and VOTTO FOULED OFF THIS BALL!! This ball was then retired. Votto eventually flew out to Profar. Alejo Lopez ended the inning by grounding out to Jake Cronenworth, who threw to Fernando Tatis, Jr. to start a double play. The Reds came back to win the game 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth off a home run by Kyle Farmer and hits by Jonathan India and Stephenson.
